Electricity powers our world, but how confident are you with it? Are you switched on to electrical safety best practices, or could your knowledge use a spark to ensure that you and others stay safe?

We all interact with electricity every day, but we may be less aware of the actual risks it poses. Whether your role involves something as simple as using a Swiss adaptor for your laptop or manipulating with CERN’s intricate electrical installations, you need to be aware of the risks involved that may have serious consequences if they materialise. Taking a moment to reflect on these risks and learning how to manage them effectively is time well spent.

So do join us in Restaurant 2 on Thursday, 25 June from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for advice, demos and practical information from CERN’s electrical safety experts. Whether you’re curious about the risks of travel adaptors and extension leads or need guidance on selecting your next arc-flash visor or personal protective equipment (PPE), this is your opportunity to learn, ask questions, and enhance your workplace safety.

Keep yourself and your equipment safe at home, at work or wherever you’re next plugging in by coming to meet us and getting advice straight from the experts.

Awareness powers safety, and education is the best conductor.
