I wear a medical implant (a passive metallic implantable medical device – PIMMD). Can I enter areas where electromagnetic fields are present?
Wearers of a PIMMD require a medical certificate to be able to enter areas where the strength of the static magnetic field is equal to or greater than 40 mT.
I wear an active implantable medical device (AIMD). Can I enter areas where electromagnetic fields are present?
Wearers of an AIMD require a medical certificate to be able to enter areas where the strength of the static magnetic field is equal to or greater than 0.5 mT.
