CROME Evolution

The CROME Evolution Project aims to enhance the efficiency, stability, and longevity of CROME system as part of the Radiation and Environmental Monitoring System at CERN. The project encompasses a comprehensive approach that includes migrating the software to the latest standard, developing cloud-based integration and testing tools, establishing long-term support for embedded Linux, creating complete test tool suites, addressing pending JIRA tickets for new software versions, and optimizing the system to minimise exposure to obsolescence and enhance performance. By making these improvements, the project seeks to ensure compatibility with CERN infrastructure, improve reliability, streamline development and testing processes, address user needs effectively, and enhance system performance. The successful implementation of this project will have a positive impact on key stakeholders, enabling CROME to remain at the forefront of technological developments, deliver high-quality service, and meet the evolving needs of its users.
