What is the ventilation rate in offices?

For new buildings and when the HVAC system of an existing building is fully renovated, the fresh air flow rate for an office at CERN is set at 50 m3/h per occupant. This value complies with the most recent directives on indoor air quality. For energy efficiency reasons, the ventilation system must be capable of adjusting the flow rate according to the number of occupants.
