Individual transport is encouraged (ex: car, bicycle), both for commuting and circulating on CERN sites. If shared private transport (company vehicles included) is used for commuting, the number of passengers should be limited to two, both wearing masks. When using public transport applicable protection measures shall be respected. Peak times should be avoided.
For circulating on CERN sites:
- Individual use of cars is recommended. The maximum occupancy of a car should be two people (one sitting in the front, one in the rear) both wearing masks, even if from the same household. For optimal air renewal opening the window opposite each occupant is recommended.
Each user of a CERN car must clean the areas that have been touched with appropriate products before and after using the car.
In CERN shuttles, the bus driver will be physically separated from the passenger cabin (if possible). All passengers must respect the 2m distance (if possible), wear masks and not use the front door (if possible).
