Isolation, Medical and Travel Quarantine

Confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases shall self-isolate themselves in accordance with the rules in force at their place of residence and instructions by their general practitioner and the CERN Medical Service.
Access to the CERN site by confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases is prohibited as defined in the instructions.
Close contacts shall quarantine in accordance with the rules in force at their place of residence and instructions by the CERN Medical Service (medical quarantine).
Access to the CERN site by close contacts is prohibited as defined in the instructions.
This includes close contacts that are fully vaccinated.
Persons arriving or returning from a country/ area for which Switzerland and/or France impose a mandatory quarantine upon arrival or return (travel quarantine) shall not come on to the CERN site for the duration of the quarantine imposed by France or Switzerland whichever is the longest.
Suspected or confirmed COVID-19 cases and persons subject to medical quarantine shall declare their condition via the TRAMED tool and inform their supervisor.
Persons subject to travel quarantine must self-declare via the helpdesk + 41 22 767 7777 and inform their supervisor.
